Operations Manager

Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in a courteous manner. Respond to all guest requests, issues, complaints or accidents in a service-oriented manner and ensure guest satisfaction. Must be able to prioritize departmental function to meet set deadlines. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as required. Should maintain confidentiality at all times. Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline your staff (GROs, Crew, Captain, Jetty Coordinators, Hostesses, Night Coordinator and Runners)Ensure your presence to personally welcome a VIP / VVIP guests. Assist HR in conducting Interviews for GRO, Captain, Crew, Jetty Coordinator, Hostesses, etc. Assist in dealing with problems as they arise and day to day trouble shooting, Supervise staffs (Front Office, Jetty Coordinators, Captains, Crews, and Runners)Develop employee morale and prepare and conduct Trainings for the Operations Team (First Aid, Safety Procedures, Hygiene, Customer Service, etc.)Manage Issues recorded in the Capsta Manage Incident Reports Conduct monthly meetings with the entire Operations Team Coordinate with Sales Manager and Maintenance Manager Responsible for the day to day management of the operations of the yacht company Conduct performance appraisal/review for all members of the department Enforce compliance of operations personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations to ensure smooth operation Roam around the jetty and check on captains, crew, and coordinators to ensure they are doing their job properly. Monitor and improve the overall performance of the company. Ensures safety regulations are being followed. Perform other duties as assigned by Managing Director.
Should be graduate, pref. in Hotel Management. Should be a South African. Should have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role. Should have Effective communication (oral and written) skills. Must possess strong initiative and leadership skills and should be smart and proactive.

Resume Keyword Practices to Avoid
We’ve established that using resume keywords throughout your application boosts your chances of a human hiring manager seeing it.
However, be careful not to overdo it.
Packing your resume full of keywords is almost as bad as not including any at all.
Don’t forget that a real person will (hopefully) see your resume at some point. So use natural language that engages that person.
Tip
Make sure you balance hard skills vs soft skills on your resume to show you’re a rounded candidate.
Otherwise, they’ll think you’re either a bad writer — which indicates your communication skills aren’t good — or assume you’re trying to beat the ATS, making you seem dishonest.

 

Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing refers to using the same keyword again and again in an unnatural way to get your resume past the ATS.
People engage in keyword stuffing because some ATS software gives applications a higher ranking when it detects a keyword is used more. For instance, an ATS might assign a higher score to a candidate who mentions “search engine optimization” six times over one who mentions it three times.
