Rail Electrification Engineer (Ref: 14256) – Urgently required for a multinational rail company in Qatar. Candidate must have a Master degree of science in Electrical Engineering/ study of electro technique with according practical experience and knowledge of high and medium voltage techniques and the according electrical equipment (transformers, switchgears and cables). Candidate will be responsible for design of electrical equipment and dimensioning of the overall power supply system, Interfacing with internal and external partners. Should have knowledge in Engineering and Interface Management and will be providing technical support in component design (Dimensioning of Transformers, Switchgears and Substation internal cable plans). Coordination of 11 kV corridor planning and execution works (Monitor and Control works and progress of the subcontracting party by application of Project Management rules and regulations. Performance measurements of onboard energy storages and analysis in terms of long term evaluation of environmental criteria and load state (battery and Super-capacitor Units are to be monitored with respect to number of load cycles, state of charge, power output and energy content for long term evaluation of the life time). Support during commissioning and installation phase in coordination of subcontractors and site activities (monitor and control subcontractor works by comparison of the works executed with the detailed plans).
