Refinery Economist

Basic Function:
• Prepares short term production plans, turnaround/ shutdown production scenarios and plans and all related economics for review and consideration.
• Prepares Refinery weekly, monthly economics, optimisation plans and tracks the implementation.
• Develops plan vs actual retro analysis to mitigate the gaps.
• Analyse and report on the economic performance of Ruwais Refinery in order to support the business planning and scheduling process.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 7 year experience in Refinery production planning and optimisation using LP models, with exposure to refinery economics and margin calculations.
• Experience of working with LP tools and excel economic models.
• Knowledge of the construction of economic and financial spreadsheet models.
• Proficiency in MS office tools.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
